Igor Pulbere, from the Chișinău Court, is allegedly the magistrate referred to justice for false statements in his asset declaration. At least, this is what results from statements made by sources from Ziarul de Gardă. Prosecutors announce that Pulbere is said to have omitted several pieces of information, including the fact that he owns a Mercedes car.

The criminal case was initiated in January this year by the Prosecutor General, and according to the materials gathered, it was established that the judge, holding the status of a person with a position of public dignity and being obligated to submit the declaration of assets and personal interests, allegedly committed falsehood in statements under the following circumstances:

In 2019, he allegedly did not include in the declaration of assets and personal interests the income in the amount of €120,000, obtained from the sale of an apartment in Chișinău municipality, indicating only the amount of 1,364,783 lei (equivalent to €70,000).

Moreover, the income obtained in the amount of €120,000 is said to have been offered by the accused, in the form of a loan to a natural person, without declaring this loan.

Also, in the same year (2019), the judge allegedly did not declare the possession of a Mercedes GLE car, which was also not included in asset declarations in the following years.

In 2021, he again allegedly did not declare the loan granted, nor the income obtained from the sale of a car, in the amount of 300,000 lei, and the sum of €20,000 resulting from the partial repayment of the loan granted in 2019.

For the period 2020–2023, the judge did not indicate in the asset declarations the existing debt of a natural person, at that time amounting to €85,658.46.

The defendant has not admitted his guilt, and the criminal case against him was sent for trial on the merits to the Chișinău Court, Buiucani office.

For the committed offense, the law provides a penalty of a fine between 25,500 and 30,000 lei or imprisonment for up to one year, in both cases with disqualification from holding certain positions or exercising a certain activity for a term of 2 to 5 years.
