The TV and radio company "MIR" will no longer operate in the Republic of Moldova. In Thursday's session, the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova voted on a draft law concerning the termination of agreements related to the activities of Teleradiocompany "MIR". Anticorupție.md previously reported on the propaganda broadcasts in the Republic of Moldova through TV stations and the methods they used to circumvent the restrictions imposed by the authorities.

With this decision, the authorities aim to protect the national audiovisual space and ensure information security, given the current regional situation and the threat to national security posed by the Russian Federation's war in Ukraine.

Teleradiocompania "MIR," a media organization of the Commonwealth of Independent States, is the owner of the TV stations "Mir TV" and "Mir 24," whose broadcasts were suspended during the state of emergency, as mandated by the Commission for Exceptional Situations.

From 2000 to 2022, 40.3 million lei were allocated from the state budget to the representative office of the "MIR" company in Moldova.
