The General Prosecutor's Office reacted to the material of the Anticorruption.md portal about the party, with music and cheer, organized late last week in an office of the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases (PCCOCS). The institution announced in a press release that it has launched an investigation.

The General Prosecutor's Office took note of the journalistic material, titled "Party with music and cheer in an office at PCCOCS", carried out by Anticoruptie.md reporters and ordered an investigation regarding the employees referred to in the article, the conclusions of the control will be implemented impartially and without delay. The prosecutor's office is delimited by activities that are not part of disciplinary norms or constitute violations of the prosecutor's Code of Ethics. The Prosecutor's Office will provide additional information about the results of the investigation", reads the press release.

Several PCCOCS employees were seen last Friday by Anticoruptie.md reporters, while they were having an impromptu party in an office. The partygoers allegedly consumed alcohol, which is prohibited by the Labor Code and by an order of the General Prosecutor from November 2009.

The reporters of the Anticoruptie.md portal were notified at about 19.00 that there is music and cheer in one of the PCCOCS’s offices. We came on the scene and we found that the party was held in one of the offices on the ground floor at the back of the PCCOCS building. The office windows were open and the music was playing. Two men and two women were seen in the office through the roller blinds. They held in their hands glasses of brown liquid, resembling the cognac.
