The Disciplinary Board of the Superior Council of Prosecutors is considering disciplinary proceedings against 10 prosecutors and ex-prosecutors on Friday. Some of them were exposed and prosecuted after the Center for Investigative Journalism investigations, during which a mismatch between the declared and real property became obvious, as well as some illegal decisions of the judges

Members of the Board will consider the case of the prosecutor of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office Mirandolina Sushitskaya.

Last year, the Center for Investigative Journalism published an investigation into how prosecutor Mirandolina Sushitskaya buried the Laundromat case. During the investigation, it was also shown, that the prosecutor hadn't provided information about the Laundromat to the parliamentary commission investigating the Russian laundry case. She had the support of Prosecutor General Alexander Stoianoglo in this regard.

The Disciplinary Board of the Superior Council of Prosecutors will also take a decision on ex-Prosecutor, Deputy Prosecutor General Ruslan Popov and his wife Yulia Popova, Prosecutor of the Chisinau City Prosecutor's Office, currently suspended from office. Both appear in criminal cases of illicit enrichment and false public statements initiated as a result of the investigations of the CIJM.

The prosecutor on the knives with the law, Igor Popa, detained on November 9, 2021, was and is in the focus of journalists of the CIJM. The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal case against him for illicit enrichment on the basis of a journalistic investigation made by correspondents of the CJRM.

Igor Popa has been the subject of several analyses by the CJRM. During communist rule, he was accused of fabricating files and putting young protesters on trial.
