The Supreme Court of Justice's Civil, Commercial and Administrative litigation Panel has rejected an appeal submitted by the Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP) in a dispute with suspended General Prosecutor, Alexandr Stoianoglo, regarding the evaluation of his performance during his tenure. The decision is final and was pronounced by a panel of judges, Ala Cobăneanu, Aliona Miron, and Iurie Bejenaru. Alexandr Stoianoglo's defense attorney, Iurie Mărgineanu, stated that the decision is logical as his client was not given an evaluation in accordance with the law and the court has not yet ruled on the evaluation Regulation.

Mărgineanu also revealed that there are three appeals pending in the case, the first of which challenges the Evaluation Organization Regulation approved by the CSP. The second appeal challenges the actions of the evaluation commission, and the third is the final act issued by the CSP regarding the results of the performance evaluation of the Prosecutor General. It is likely that all three appeals will be connected in one trial. A response from the Constitutional Court regarding a notification of unconstitutionality is also expected.

The completion of the evaluation of Alexandr Stoianoglo's activity as Prosecutor General was announced on May 3, 2022. On May 16, 2022, Stoianoglo's lawyers contested the evaluation report of their client's activity, which was deemed unsatisfactory.
